medium & Client codes of conduct

As your chosen medium, I will…

· Maintain the highest standards of competence and conduct.

· Work with integrity and honesty at all times.

· Seek to improve and develop my knowledge and abilities through training

· Act in the best interests of my clients

· Act in a manner which promotes and encourages Spiritualism and quality mediumship

· Remember the responsibility that comes with mediumship and take full responsibility for my words and actions.

· Be mindful of the impact of my messages

· Treat all clients and members of the public with respect and courtesy

· Respect others beliefs, creeds and philosophy

· Treat all information received during a reading as strictly confidential

· Explain to my clients what to expect before a reading

· Be open to any questions my clients have before we start a reading and throughout the booking process

· Make it clear to my clients that they have a personal responsibility for any decisions they make as a result of a reading or communication with Spirit

· Give as much notice as possible if I have to cancel your appointment for some reason

I will not…

· Act in a manner that is detrimental to other mediums, churches, organizations and Spiritualism as a whole

· Make false, misleading or unsubstantiated claims

· Use any title or qualification which is inaccurate or misleading, or does not relate to my mediumship

· Discriminate against anyone on grounds of race, politics, religion, creed, age, sexuality or disability

· Give readings to people under the age of 18 or any vulnerable adults

· Use information obtained in a reading for my own advantage

· Pretend to be in contact with the spirit world when I am not

· Claim to be able to contact any particular spirit

· Guarantee success or a specific outcome

· Diagnose medical issues, prescribe any medication, alternative medications, herbs, etc

· Give messages which are negative, cause harm or take advantage of people.

 As my client, you agree to…

· Make yourself available for the reading in a quiet place without any distractions

· Be willing to participate in the reading with the understanding that mediumship works best when we are using the energy of the medium, the client and spirit. The more you put into it, the more you will get out of it. 

· Keep an open mind.

· Read and acknowledge the terms and conditions upon booking. 

· Respond to my confirmation message one week prior to your session so I can collect your contact information

· Cancel your session as soon as you know you are not available so I can offer it to my waitlist

· Cancel your session if you have any hesitation around whether or not you want the session

· Let me know if nothing is making sense within the first fifteen minutes and we will terminate the rest of the session

- Respect my personal boundaries (for example - not texting me outside of my reading hours asking for information or insight.) Please book an appointment where I can be fully available for you and the mediumship process. I am distracted when I'm in the middle of cooking dinner or driving my son to hockey practice.

You will not…

· Come to your session with the intention of “testing the medium”. I have zero tolerance for this and will end your session if you choose not to participate.

· Bring other people into your session without clearing it with me first

· Book for third party clients. If you have a friend who would love a reading, please pass them my contact information so they can book their session themselves

· Share any recordings of my sessions to any social media platforms. Any recordings are for private use only and I retain the rights to the information contained in the sessions and recordings

· Hold me liable for any decisions you make based on information received in your reading. I am not liable for any of your personal decisions and I do not want that kind of power.

· Book more often than every six months. We must allow time for energy to change so I will have something new or different to bring you from Spirit.
